social media coordinator

Position Description

Estimated weekly time commitment: 1-2 hours

Some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Writing a monthly blog post

  • Updating the Pen Friends Collective website and blog as required

  • Updating and moderating the Facebook group on a weekly basis

  • Developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to increase engagement

  • Managing and overseeing social media content on different platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

  • Staying up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies

  • Designing content that is informative and appealing

  • Collaborating with other executive team members

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is/has:

  • Adaptable & open to change

  • Enthusiastic about the work and vision of Pen Friends Collective

  • Strong content development skills

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented

  • Proven ability to work both independently and with a team

  • Creative and resourceful

  • Ability to conceptualize and execute graphic design projects

  • Demonstrated abilities using GSuite, SquareSpace, and social media platforms

Bonus:

  • Working towards diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field

  • Experience in marketing and communications

  • Experience in the non-profit sector
